The office for Foreigners and Nationalities

The office for Foreigners and Nationalities are responsible for matters relating to the right of residence, and is the contact person for areas of asylum law and integration. In addition, this field includes nationality law and name changes. The immigration authority is responsible for the district of Böblingen, except for the large district cities and their sub-districts. This area is headed by Mr Thomas Gonther-Belge.

Notes

  • Please always bring your National Passport/Reference/Identity Card with you
  • If you do not have sufficient knowledge of the German language, we ask you to speak with an interpreter
  • Any fees may be paid at cash machines, either in cash or by debit card.

Family reunification

Under certain conditions, family members may join a foreign or German national living in Germany. As a rule, family members are considered to be spouses or men, minor children and partner of a registered civil partnership within the meaning of the German Civil Partnership Act or a civil partnership recognised under foreign law which essentially corresponds to the German registered civil partnership.
